Dave's knowledge and expertise has been the driving force behind the success of Audio Factory. Dave has been working with audio for 15 years and holds a 1st class honours degree in Audio & Music Production. He is the chief sound engineer and editor on all of our productions. Dave is as comfortable recording sound on location for the likes of corporate films and radio programmes as he is in the studio recording voice artists of all ages on productions for the BBC and Audible.
Dave's vocation has also led to him working in technical theatre for the last 9 years where he has worked on shows ranging from theatre drama to stand-up comedy, working with some of the UK's biggest touring companies and sound designing shows for many others.
Audio Factory co-founder Arran Dutton is a scriptwriter and producer and is responsible for creating our series Poppy's Play Dates, Eddie Green and Friends and Musical Maddie for CBeebies Radio.
Arran is the creative director at Audio Factory and very much takes on a project management role as he and Dave co-produce content that ranges from audiobook productions to voiceovers for animation and a lot more in between. Arran also works alongside filmmaker James Barber as a producer for both corporate and fictional films and has management experience in both print and web copy having owned a monthly community magazine and founded online entertainment magazine The Fix, writing extensively for both publications.
