House On Highbury Hill

Radio Drama

Everybody at Audio Factory is proud to be involved with the production of Piers Paul Read’s The House on Highbury Hill, a one-off radio drama that saw lead actor Robert Prince make his directorial debut.

Originally aired on BBC Radio 4 in the 80′s, the story follows Casimir (Robert Prince), a young man whose life is altered dramatically when he turns his back on priesthood and leaves the seminary where he had grown up. Staying with his Mother’s friend, Mrs Anderson, at a house on Highbury Hill in North London, Casimir soon realises he has feelings for her kind hearted daughter, Ethel (Sarah Holt), much to the disgust of her manipulative sister Marigold (Angela Bell), who wants to be with him and is determined to get her way.

Audio Factory began recording in August for the programme that was also broadcast on BBC Television in the 70′s, with this new production of the drama initially being broadcast on community radio mid 2012. We are in the final stages of post production and in the near future we will be making an announcement with details of where The House On Highbury Hill will debut.

The House on Highbury Hill will be performed by:

Casimir – Robert Prince

Marigold – Angela Bell

Ethel – Sarah Holt

Mrs Anderson – Elaine Hayne

Mrs Hendrikson – Di Dean

Irish Priest – Gary McKinven

Narrator – Stephen Perry
